Corbis Creativity for Social Justice Award will be given to professional work entered in any public service/non-profit/education category which was created on a pro bono basis to benefit those in need. This award recognizes work driven by creative passion and talent in the service of making the world a better place.

Corbis, which has a long and established history of supporting social causes, will award the non-profit client of the winning Gold Cube entry a $20,000 prize. This award celebrates the best work from twenty-two eligible categories and continues to support social causes by rewarding organizations that nurture creativity and talent. The final winner in this category is selected by a cross section of judges from each category.

There is no additional fee to submit eligible work for the Corbis Creativity for Social Justice Award simply enter any project created for a non-profit organization on a pro bono basis in any public service/non-profit/education category. All entries must have been printed, published, aired, or live online for the first time between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2006, in any country. Only student entries are exempt from these production requirements. Entries may be submitted by any company or individual involved in the creation or production of the work.

The Corbis Creativity for Social Justice Award categories are noted online as Corbis Award. You must check the box marked "Check here if work was performed on a pro bono basis for a non-profit organization." The work will automatically be entered into the Corbis Creativity for Social Justice Award competition upon checking this box. There is no additional fee.

Students currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate-level programs in advertising, graphic design, photography, illustration, and new media are eligible for the competition, and are invited to submit unpublished work in any category, except Playground. Student work is eligible for the Corbis Creativity for Social Justice Award if it is created for an existing non-profit organization. Approval by the existing non-profit organization is not necessary.

Up to two $5,000 scholarships may be awarded. Student work will be judged using the same criteria and juries as professional work. All student winners will be published in the Art Directors Annual 86. Award winners (Gold, Silver, and Distinctive Merit) will be included in the New York and traveling exhibitions and in related advertising and promotional materials.

Each Corbis Creativity for Social Justice Scholarship will be sent directly to the educational institution’s Bursar’s Office in the name of the winning student. If the student has graduated by the time the scholarship is awarded, the money will be applied to any remaining debt and any balance refunded to the student.
